PLANTAR FASCIITIS

Plantar fasciitis is a common painful disorder effecting the heel and underside of the foot.  It is a disorder of the insertion site of ligament and the bone and is characterized by scarring, inflammation or structural breakdown of the foot’s plantar fascia.  It is often caused by overuse injury of the plantar fascia, increases in exercise, weight or age.  It is commonly associated with long periods of standing as well.

At Better Life Flex-n-Stretch, we have had success using two therapies.

  1. Using a stretch band calf stretch.
  2. Trigger point therapy at the point of pain on the bottom of the foot.
